On the eve of my 38th year, I sit here writing to you from a twin size mattress on the floor of an orphanage in Chile. How did I get here? I wonder. Reflecting on God’s goodness and the opportunities He’s given me over the years, I am amazed.

I stumble upon a letter a dear friend of mine Sarah wrote me while visiting Cambodia back in April.

When praying for you, dear friend, I felt our Abba Father was saying:

“You are My daughter in whom I have entrusted much. I only have entrusted to you much because you have been faithful with little, and you are faithful in this moment with much. I have no regrets, but rather a sense of joy and pride in you.

I trust you.

I know you, deeply.

I see you and your outrageously gorgeous heart and spirit, mind and intellect.

All you do, all your faithfulness in your ministry, you do with perfection. Not one time have I looked down on you, and thought, I wish you did this better. Because, My daughter, you do all your ministry to Me and My people out of love for Me–and that, that ravishes My heart! There is no self-condemnation, no judgment or condemnation or frustration from yourself or from others aimed towards you that is justified. None. I forsake My own Son to abolish that towards you, and thus condemnation is only Mine to give out.

And, My precious, strong daughter, never will I condemn you. You are perfect. You are holy, righteous, pure in heart, amazing at loving others and Me, amazing at organizing people and leading, amazing at making space for Me to be present and drawing people to My heart.

You create spaces in places and in people for Me, your Father and King, to dwell. You are My rose, My joy, every second of every day, no matter the circumstances–and no one gets to tell you otherwise. Peace you have in Me, because you abide in My Son, and thus in Me. I love you, I love laughing and crying with you. I love working in ministry with you. I love living life with you. I am captivated by your love and faithfulness to Me. You have all you ask for in Me and more, all that is Mine is yours, My love.

With all My love,

Your Father”
