Uniquely Gifted: Todd the Tattoo Artist
Meet my new friend Todd. I met him at a leadership conference last week. After a series of messages regarding using your unique gift, Todd shared how he wrestled with God over the gift the Lord had given him.
After becoming a believer, Todd wrestled with God over his talent of tattooing for nearly six years. He ended up putting a price on his worth and later prayed to God asking why he wasn’t having enough business.
God answered with a question.
“What are you really worth?”
Although Todd felt robbed when he wasn’t charging competitive prices, God allowed him to keep his artistic talent but required him to use his incredible gift of tattooing for ministry purposes, not monetary gain.
Todd finds that when he is working on a tattoo, he gets to spend 10 to 12 hours with someone. This is a perfect opportunity to share the Gospel. Todd would eventually love to have his own shop one day where he can continue to share the love of Jesus to those seated in his chair.
